Dell Inspiron 530 Windows Vista 64-bit Driver Pack

Looking for Windows Vista x64 (64-bit) drivers for your Dell Inspiron 530 PC? I was too, so as I did previously with my Dell Inspiron 531's I scoured the internet and found what I needed and packaged it up for public consumption. Dell sure makes it hard to find these babies, and I'm starting to think everyone has a vendetta against 64-bit Microsoft operating systems because drivers are still tough to find! If you've got a Core 2 processor, might as well take advantage of the extra horsepower and memory access 64-bit offers.

This driver pack currently only includes Intel 82562V NIC drivers. This will allow you to use your network, and after enabling it head to Windows Update and it will install the rest of the drivers you need to get off the floor and running!

If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I will do my best to answer them. This driver was tested on Windows Vista Ultimate x64.

I also just purchased several of the for my small business. I was/am planning on installing either win xp 64 or vista business or ultimate x64. However, I cannot even get it to boot from the install cd's it keeps freezing up. I am trying to install it on a SATA II 10000 RPM drive and 2GB of Memory. I also opted for the quad Pentium processor. I have tried win xp, win xp x64, vista business. All of them freeze up. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated. Hi!, i need the driver 82562V-2 (intel)to use Windows 2003 Standar or Enterprise. I have Dell -Vostro 400, motherboard Foxcom and the NIC (82562V-2 intel)is onboard. thanks!

Also, where did you buy your version of win vista x64 ultimate? I have been looking around for a good price. Also, what os did your 530 ship with and did you install ultimate by booting from cd or did you do it from inside the original os environment? Thanks again, David

David, I am a Microsoft TechNet subscriber, so I procured my copy from there. I did have a problem getting it to boot from the DVD, in the end I had to burn the image with Alcohol 120% otherwise it wouldn't boot properly off the DVD. Are you using an image or are you booting off the retail version?

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 PC. I installed 64-bit XP and I still can't get this to get the network driver working.. Any ideas? It says that I don't have the card...

This driver pack is for *Vista x64*. If you want to use Windows XP Professional x64 I would suggest visiting the Intel Support website and searching for it there.

Dell now has support for Vista 64 on the Inspiron 530 Desktop. Drivers are available to download from their website.
